RMTC Celebrates Olympic Day with Nick Delpopolo

Burleson, TX Ruben Martin Training Center (RMTC) hosted 23 year old Olympian Nick Delpopolo for a huge training camp and fundraiser dinner on none other than “Olympic Day” June 23rd 2012. RMTC is very pleased to announce they raised over $3000.00 for Nick!
Olympic Day is celebrated all around the world: hundreds of thousands of people – young and old – get moving and participate in sporting and cultural activities, such as runs, exhibitions, music and educational seminars. Over the last two decades, the event has helped to spread the Olympic ideals to every corner of the world.
Over 60 Judoka young and old showed up to support Delpopolo and get their Olympic Day workout in. Delpopolo, who trains at the Jason Morris Judo Center, began his Judo journey at the same dojo as Ruben Martin, Cranford Judo and Karate Center, under Sensei Yone Yonezuka. Martin said “I am honored to have a 4th generation Yonezuka student at our training center.” He went on to say “Nick did a fantastic job and is a great representative of USA Judo, we had clubs from as far as Odessa drive 350 miles to support the event.”
