Delpopolo Heading to his 4th Consecutive World Championships

25 year old Olympian Nick Delpopolo will be heading to Chelyabinsk, Russia August 22nd to compete at the World Judo Championships. The Worlds are the biggest point tournament of 2014 and Delpopolo aims to earn valuable ranking points towards qualifying for the 2016 Olympic team. This is Delpopolo's 4th consecutive World Team with his best result coming from a 9th place finish at the 2010 World Championships in Tokyo.
Leading up to the event Nick has finished 5th at the Taipei Open and silver at the Miami Open in front of his hometown crowd. Delpopolo is currently in Boston at a World Team training camp and will head to Montreal for a second camp before coming home to Miami for his final week of preparation.
